Crossed Swords history lesson

I know, another picture of the Crossed Swords, but today I found out their meaning.  The Crossed Swords are Saddams celebration of his victory over Iran.  The swords are supposed to have been made from melted down guns of dead Iraqi soldiers from the war.  The fists holding the swords are replicas of Saddams hands.

The helmets are placed at the base of the swords and on the road entering the sword area, or parade grounds.  They are said to be helmets collected from the battle field, and they belonged to dead Iranian soldiers.

HI Matt,

Camden wants me to tell you this is the coolest picture! Thank you for the history lesson! Cam says it is much better than learning about pilgrims!
